TUMELO CAMPAIGN

Whilst working at Cushon we partnered with a brand called Tumelo. Tumelo is a specialist in client-directed voting. Their technology, in partnership with the Cushon app, enables pass-through voting and expression of wish for fund managers. I was tasked with the project of creating a campaign which would be rolled out on London Underground ads and billboards across central London, as well as social media.

 

Objectives

• To create an engaging concept and theme for the campaign that would immediately catch the eye of the target audience

• To create an engaging hook for the campaign

• To clearly visualise the app-based nature of the product as well as the vote feature

• To make viewers consider how and where their own savings are invested

• To increase the download rate of the app

• To maintain the recognisable elements of the Cushon brand within the campaign

Using Adobe Illustrator I created pop-art themed shapes and illustrations to incorporate into my designs. This includes speech bubbles, dot/stripe patterns and cartoon style imagery, as well as stand-out typography. For the colour palette of these graphics I maintained our signature Cushon pink and blue but introducing a bright yellow to bring more contrast to the graphics. These designs were rolled out for both digital and print use. After assessing the success of the engagement on the ads, there was a visible increase in the uptake of app downloads and voting.
